I didn't lie on the floor for this shot, but I did think about it

All the other portraits had brown or grey suited men. Whomever this is wanted to test
the skill of the painter. "That's right this year I will be wearing pinstripes"
Glen said that this portrait would have taken 'forever'." Look at the folds of his suit! What skill"

Working our way into the basement
No one else was taking photos like I was...I wonder why that was?!
Can you imagine being the woodcarver that worked on this edging?
Don't sneeze...don't make a mistake

Or this marble crest.
The fine detail work, amazing

The circle in the roof allows you to see the dome from the basement
This is the portrait part of the tour

Legislative Library
Probably the real reason Catherine was okay with seeing this building yet again

This is an Art installation that was in the hallway on the tour
I was quite fascinated with the recycling of the 'printed circuit boards, brass wire & copper tubing'

Welcome to the Chamber

Up close and personal with the hand carved oak doors
If you haven't noticed from some of my other photos I am very interested in
Architecture. Older buildings over newer ones

Dome and amazing architecture

Marble columns

Saskatchewan coat of Arms
Not that Glen was with me for this trip but
I could hear him say " How do they make such things?!"
Beautiful

Welcome to Regina's Legislature
Although Catherine has been to the musuem on a
number of occasions she kindly agreed to wander over yet again so I could
partake in the experience
When I took this picture I was actually unable to see anything really because of
the VERY Bright Sun!!

Getting up close and personal...

Closer...
I love decorative doors!

and closer still

Somehow I skipped over the short trip I took out to see my sister the September long weekend 2016...

As many of you know Catherine moved to Regina to pursue a career with Library Sciences.
During the exceptionally hot weekend which I didn't pack for specifically (should have brought a lighter pair of cabris) we took in the Science Museum, The Legislative Buildings and a self guided walking tour of Lumsden. Which oddly enough I took us in the wrong direction for the first hour or so despite having a map! Oh well after having some ice cream  and really looking at where we were we managed to get onto the right street and we both enjoyed the walk around town.
Please enjoy the following photos from this visit...
